MORMONISM vs. SCIENCE | Who Wins?
What happens when literal Latter-day Saint teachings collide with modern science?
In this explainer, we examine five major points of tension between traditional LDS interpretations and the evidence of geology, biology, linguistics, astronomy, and physics.
We’ll explore:
🌎 The Great Global Flood — Could the entire Earth really have been covered by water? What do ice cores, coral reefs, and geological evidence tell us?
🚢 The Logistics of Noah’s Ark — Could a 450-foot wooden vessel have survived a worldwide flood? And how could it have housed, fed, ventilated, and cared for the enormous diversity of life?
🏛️ The Tower of Babel & Language — Does the linguistic evidence support a sudden division of humanity into different languages, or does it point toward languages developing gradually over thousands of years?
⭐ Kolob & LDS Cosmology — What does the Book of Abraham teach about the Sun, Kolob, and the source of light—and how does that compare with modern astrophysics and nuclear fusion?
⚔️ Faith vs. Empirical Evidence — Brigham Young famously taught that Mormonism encompasses all truth. But what happens when literal interpretations of scripture appear to conflict with evidence from science?
This isn't simply a question of religion versus science. It's a deeper question about how we determine what is true—and what we should do when ancient religious claims encounter modern evidence.

What do you think? When scripture and scientific evidence appear to conflict, which should take priority—and why?
if you are still reading this, you probably need to get a life, lol—but this was the most expensive video I ever made costing about $20 to produce: avengers animations ain’t cheap 😭
