From Mormon Missionary to New Faith: Darrick Evenson’s Journey to Doctor Dahesh
Darrick Evenson joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 18, believing in its teachings of morality and honesty. He served a mission in California during a time when the anti-Mormon film The God Makers stirred hostility toward Mormon missionaries. After facing harassment and threats, Darrick wrote a book refuting the film’s claims.
Over years of research, however, his faith in Mormon truth claims unraveled, leading to a crisis and eventual loss of belief. Seeking truth, he experienced an extraordinary vision of a being of light who revealed that Jesus had reincarnated as Doctor Dahesh—a 20th-century miracle worker and spiritual teacher from Lebanon.
This video tells Darrick’s incredible story of faith, doubt, and spiritual discovery. If you or someone you know is going through a faith crisis, you’re not alone.
