DezNat Exposed: Alt-Right Mormon Militants or Defenders of the Faith?
In this explosive episode of *Mormon News Roundup*, we investigate one of the most controversial digital movements in Latter-day Saint online culture: #DezNat (Deseret Nation). What started as a bold defense of Mormon orthodoxy has morphed into something darker—anonymous accounts, violent memes, blood atonement references, and harassment campaigns against LGBTQ+ people, feminists, Muslims, and ex-Mormons.
🔍 Is DezNat just unapologetically faithful, or is it a toxic echo of Mormonism's militant past?
We explore:
* The forgotten history of the State of Deseret
* The violent legacy of the Danites
* DezNat’s disturbing online behavior
* The LDS Church’s silence on the movement
* Real-world consequences for those targeted—including therapist and activist Dr. Julie Hanks
💥 From ancient Jaredites to modern-day extremism, DezNat raises urgent questions:
Is it just "defending the faith"? Or is it a fringe movement giving Mormonism a black eye?
👇 Sound off in the comments:
* Should people using the #DezNat hashtag be held accountable?
* Is the Church doing enough?
* Are we seeing a resurgence of digital Danites?
