Debunking LDS Apologetics: Why the Book of Mormon Isn’t History
A recent X post tried to argue for the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon by listing “critic claims” and dismissing them. In this video, we take a closer look at those arguments — and the facts.
From gold plates to barley, mound fortifications to transoceanic submarines, we break down why each apologetic claim collapses under scrutiny. The scholarly consensus is clear: no archaeologist, linguist, geneticist, or historian outside the Mormon bubble treats the Book of Mormon as authentic history.
Instead of evidence, what we see are strawmen, word games, and apologetic tap-dancing. Join us as we unpack the reality: the Book of Mormon is a 19th-century creation, not an ancient record.
