Poll of the week
What do Joseph Smith Jr. and Herman Melville have in common?
Based on the title of Melville's most famous book, the whale’s size, and Joseph’s impressive harem, they are both obviously compensating for something
One made up fantastic American tales that only deluded followers actually believe happened, the other…nevermind
One is the quintessential great American novelist, the other is the quintessential great American philanderer
Melville actually wrote his famous books, whereas Joseph Smith technically plagiarized from Mormon, Moses, and Abraham
One wrote books that touched the heart of the common man, the other touched a lot of women #TenderMercies
